I have started noticing how much more focused I’ve become. I used to get easily distracted while working or not stick to my diet. Now I am so much more focused in every aspect of my life. I keep looking ahead and want to reach

This Weekend

This weekend I stuck to my diet as planned. I’ve been just as strict with myself as I am during the week, apart from one meal. Usually, I allow myself so have the odd snack like a bag of chocolate and cheat meal but this week I swapped my chocolate for a meal deal with a sugar-free energy drink.

I really didn’t like the taste of the energy drink, which was weird because I used to drink them every day. When I started this journey I cut them out and restricted myself to one sugar-free drink on the weekend. This weekend I have now decided I no longer want them and that has been a huge step for me having drunk them for years.

I spent another weekend of heavy lifting, cutting and clearing in the garden to work up a sweat, this has been a great way for me to burn calories and will keep it up until I get my treadmill, which should be in a few weeks now :).

This Week

This week has been great, I have been so focused on my work during the day, time is flying by. It’s also helping me to stay strict with myself as I’m not thinking about food all the time.

My Meal of the week this week is a bit different this time. This Is my chicken salad and I eat it almost every day for lunch. The chicken and spinach are full of protein and it’s keeping me going. It may be a bit too dry for some without any dressing but it just works for me.

After only losing one pound last week I started to look into reasons why I wasn’t losing weight. I knew it was because of my overeating at the weekend but wanted to see if there were other reasons that would stop me losing weight. I didn’t realise how many things can affect your weight loss so I’ve written a post to highlight the main ones here.

Next Week

Next week I plan to be just as strict as this week, I’m going to stay more strict on the weekends and hope the results continue to show. I will be doing more in the garden to burn more calories if the weather allows.

I can’t believe I’m on week nine already and so close to halfway to my goal. The time has flown by and I feel so much better for this health kick, I can’t wait to see what other changes I’ll see and what I’ll learn.
