For the first time since I started, I’ve had my first weight gain. I’m surprised I’ve managed to get to week 19 before having my first gain and I’m trying not to beat my self up about it too much. There could be a few reasons for my gain this week so it’s hard to put it down to one thing that I can change.
Starting weight: 238lbs
Loss this week: – 1lb
Current weight: 202.5lbs
Total loss: 35.5lbs
Target weight: 175lbs
Weight left to lose: 27.5lbs
We had a bit of a chilled weekend this week and had no plans. I may have gone a bit overboard and eaten too much as I had my normal treats and we made cakes with our toddler. You can’t make cakes and not try them, that would be wrong.
The weather was good on Sunday so I spent a little bit of time in the garden cutting back overgrown bushes and brambles which gave my arms a good workout. I also completed my daily exercises, they’re definitely getting harder.
So this week I have stuck to my diet all week and made the changes I needed to. I added in another Healthy Extra A as I didn’t realise I was meant to be having two portions a day. This extra dairy could be one cause of my weight gain and may just be an adjustment.
I have been slacking on my water intake a bit recently so I need to get back into the habit of hiving a few glasses a day. It’s been so cold lately, I’ve been having hot water with Honey and Lemon. There is a lot of calories in Honey but as I don’t use my Syns on anything else during the week they should be covered.
I am continuing with my fitness challenge. As I said before, it’s definitely getting harder. Today I completed day 19, my core is getting tighter and I’m noticing a difference in my stomach.
I want to get back on track next week. Which means being better over the weekend and staying strict during the week. This weight gain has given me a bit of a wake-up call to not relax so much on weekends.
Next week is also a progress picture week. Although I ‘ve only lost half a pound since then, I think the workouts I’ve been doing really have made a difference to my stomach.
