So this week I finally started exercising and I’m so glad I did. My weight loss may have stalled this week but I can still see changes to my body because of my workouts.
Starting weight: 238lbs
Loss this week: 0lbs
Current weight: 203lbs
Total loss: 35lbs
Target weight: 175lbs
Weight left to lose: 28lbs
My weekend was better than the previous few weeks and tried not to overindulge. There is still room for improvement but I’m going in the right direction. We also went out for a meal for my wife and I’s 5th wedding anniversary and got my meat fix with a mixed grill.
Apart from that, my weekend was stress-free and chilled. I didn’t start any exercise until Monday.
Keeping to a strict plan this week has been tough. I don’t know if its the clocks changing or because I’m now exercising but I’ve felt tired all week. I’ve managed to do it though, even when I wanted to give up, I pushed through.
There can be many reasons why I’ve not lost weight this week, from eating too much on the weekend to not getting enough sleep but I’m putting it down to the fact I’ve started exercising. When you make a change that affects your body such as exercise or a new diet, it can cause you to retain water and hopefully a little muscle gain.
Monday morning I did the first exercise from my fitness challenge, crunchies. I managed the first set no problem and thought I’d be able to smash the rest. Halfway through set two, I realised how wrong I was and just how unfit I’ve become but struggled through and completed all four sets.
It’s been the same with all the exercises so far, the first set is easy then gets harder with every set but I am keeping at it. Although I’ve only been doing it for five days, I can see and feel a difference in my stomach which is great.
It’s nice having a different exercise every day so that I don’t get bored, I’m really enjoying it and look forward to doing the next exercises.
My fitness challenge continues next week as well as doing it over the weekend. The exercises look to get harder as I go on. It may be a struggle but I will complete it.
I realised this week that I’ve been eating less. I’ve cut out two snacks from my day, an apple and a banana. Next week I want to start eating them again to give me more energy throughout the day.
We are going out for a meal next week to celebrate my sister-in-law’s graduation the night before I weigh. I’m hoping it doesn’t impact too much on my results. I’ve not had to write about gaining any weight since starting my weight loss journey. I don’t want to have to any time soon.
