This week has been full of distractions, there has been quite a bit going on and my brain is thinking about all sorts. It’s hard to keep my diet a priority. I’m surprised I actually managed to lose weight in some ways but I did try to keep on top of it.
Starting weight: 238lbs
Loss this week: 1lb
Current weight: 205lbs
Total loss: 33lbs
Target weight: 175lbs
Weight left to lose: 30lbs
The weekend started off quite well, sticking to my diet on Saturday. Sunday however we went back to where we used to live to see family and friends. I was treated to a Sunday roast and cheesecake. This is also the day things changed for us as there was a death on my wife’s side of the family.
This has been a huge upset to the family and has been on my mind all week. Not just a great mans passing but also the thoughts going through my head about our future living arrangements which are still undecided.
As you can imagine, this week has been no different from the weekend. My head is still full. I have managed to stick to my diet most of the time apart from the odd bit of chocolate and a few biscuits Amy and our son made.
I have also been very busy this week trying to launch a new business I have been working on for a while and finally got it up and running at the end of this week. All these distractions have made it quite hard to stay focused.
I haven’t managed to do much resistance training this week as planned, but I have been doing a bit of planking. My best time so far is 1 minute 9 seconds. Which isn’t too bad I don’t think, since I haven’t done it in years.
I am still looking at doing exercise and looked at the best exercises for weight loss this week. I’ll be adding strength training and running to my routine at some point. Hopefully sooner rather than later.
My favourite meal of the week this week is Chili again. My wife batch cooked this at the start of the week and it’s made evenings a lot easier at the moment. It’s such a good meal full of flavours and it tastes just as good reheated.
I haven’t got much planned for next week as we don’t really know whats going on yet. If I find the time I’ll try to beat my planking time but I don’t think I’ll be doing any more exercise.
