I have taken my first steps to a new me and completed my first week.
This week I have lost 4.5lbs!! Which I am really happy with. I only started Monday and will be weighing myself every Friday morning. So 4.5lbs in four days is amazing for me. I am now 233.5lbs and 58.5 away from my goal of 175lbs.
During the weekend I sat down with my wife and created a meal plan for the week. I find this to be the best way for me to stay on track if I already know what meals we’re having. I also look forward to a few of them.
It’s a great way to get rid of the “What do you want for dinner?”, ” I don’t know what do you want?” trap we are usually stuck in as well.
As it was the my last weekend before I started eating well I chose to use this as an excuse to eat rubbish as much as I could. I’m not sure this was the best mindset to have. However when it came to sunday evening I planned to have a big takeaway with all the works. This was to be my “last supper” if you like. When it came to it though, I decided I didn’t want it and settled for a bag of M&M’s in the evening.
As this is my first week to a new me, it’s usually the easiest as it hasn’t been too long since I had something unhealthy. My cravings for junk food have gone for now . I am drinking only water throughout the day and a can of Diet Coke with my salad at lunch. The Slimming world diet allows for this. As I move forward and change my eating habits I want to drink just water.
I have had nice meals for dinner which are still healthy for me. My favourate meal this week has been Pasta meatballs, with a homemade healthy sauce, Quorn meatballs and veg, made by my amazing wife.
The meals my wife and I have had this week are our “go to” meals when we want to be healthy. Which means I havn’t tried anything new this week, so I want to spice things up with different meal choices and find something new to eat.
I will also be looking at adding some daily exercises into my week as I haven’t done any yet. When I have room in my office which may not be for a few months I will be buying a treadmill to run on most mornings before work. Until then I will be looking at other aerobic exercises to help shed the weight and improve my finess.
